Subscribing to FamilyVenue (FV) Buzz will subscribe you to our online magazine that gives you tips and ideas for quality family time.  It also ensures that you will receive the latest LOCAL deals targeted specifically for you. We often send out mailing notifications of news and current specials offered by supporting businesses/organizations.

When you register you will be able to save and review your favorite listings. You will also be able to submit suggestions to FamilyVenue regarding specific listings as well as send messages to our premium advertiser members. If you are a FamilyVenue VIP Cardholder, you can also register your card so that if you misplace it and the finder returns it to us we will in turn be able to send it to you. Although your mailing address is not required, doing so will allow you to receive offline promotions, coupons, and prizes. Best of all, registration is FREE!

Some of our advertisers wish to compete for your business by signing up to be featured. These are part of premium membership in our directory and typically you can expect the best deals and services from these companies as they are doing all they can to earn your business!

If information on a listing is incorrect, simply go to that listing and click on the "Report Listing" link which is located below each listing's map. Our contact form will then show up automatically with the listing's general information. Use that form to let us know what needs to be corrected on the listing.

The FamilyVenue (FV) VIP Card is a membership discount card honored by participating family-friendly businesses and organizations; they display the "VIP Member Card" logo on their listing(s). Their locations are also placed on the main map of our homepage. These program participants appreciate your support by providing you an instant benefit of reduced prices, free upgrades, or some other offer. Please present your FV VIP Card to a member of staff before placing your order or purchase or when attending VIP Member Only events.

Alternatively, when you register online you will be able to download and clip VIP coupons from each listing that honors the FV VIP Card. However, VIP coupons are valid only for 5 days after you print them. Each coupon is also valid only for the individual offer specified on the coupon. The FV VIP Card is not required when a VIP coupon is presented to claim an offer.

Restrictions: Offers are valid for VIP Member cardholders only or when individual VIP coupons are presented. Limit one offer per visit. Offers are not valid with any other offers except for the VIP Plus offer when it exists unless otherwise specified by the advertiser member giving the offer.

The main difference is that each time you use the FV VIP Card, you are supporting locally owned family-friendly businesses/organizations who encourage families to spend quality family time together. Also, each card has no expiration date. This means that the card is valid for as long as you own the card. Absolutely! The FV VIP card is a discount card that may be used by anyone at any age, but may only be honored by participating family-friendly businesses or organizations listed at FamilyVenue.com. Offers may be redeemed by individual cardholders only, not the entire group; unless you are a family -- daddy, mommy, and kid(s) -- restrictions may apply. Each individual claiming an offer must present an FV VIP Card in order to enjoy the benefits of being a member.

Currently, there are three ways to sign up as a VIP Member:

1. In person: Pick up a FREE VIP Member card at one of our affiliates/participating members.
2. Online: You can get a VIP Member card online. When you get a card online you will have the option to input a coupon code or donate part of the order fee to a gov/non-profit listed on the form.
3. Booth: We will also be giving away VIP Member cards during planned events, trade shows, and the like by setting up the FamilyVenue booth to promote our program.

Registering your VIP Card will allow you to access exclusive online specials when you are logged in. We also occasionally have promotional giveaways and prizes that we grant to VIP members only.
Once you get your card, be sure to register it online by inputting your card number in the "VIP Card Number" field. If you are not an online member yet, you will find this field in the advertiser registration form or customer registration form. If you are already a registered member you can update it in your account details form.

Note: This site complies with The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA) and as such cannot accept registrations from users under the age of 13 without a written permission document from their parent or guardian. For more information you can read the COPPA legislation. Please contact us if you wish to register your child's card under your name or if you require assistance.

All FV Card offers are posted on the main map of our homepage so that you may easily locate them. When searching through the directory, look for the FamilyVenue VIP Card logo and the offer will be posted with it. You can also search for offers using our Advanced Search Page and inputting your desired keywords in the "Search FamilyVenue Card Offers" field. If you are in the neighborhood just look for the "We honor the FamilyVenue VIP Member Card" sign at the establishment of a FamilyVenue VIP program participant. Be sure to check our website often as offers are constantly added.

If you have a VIP Member card, you don't need to print out a copy of the offer. Just show your card to a member of staff before placing your order or purchase. However, if you want to claim a VIP Plus offer or if you don't have a VIP Member card, you will need to print and show the coupon for each individual offer.

The FV VIP card does not expire as long as you physically have the card. You won't need to worry about expiration dates again as long as the program is still running. Help us maintain the lifetime validity of your card by frequently using it!

Unfortunately, if your card is lost or stolen you will need to get another card to keep your VIP status. If this is the case, please report it to us to prevent someone else from fraudulently using or registering your card.

Note: We have placed our mailing address on the back of your VIP Card in the case that someone finds it. If you have registered it prior to it being misplaced and it is sent back to us we will contact you so that we may send it to you.

Please contact us IMMEDIATELY with all the details. Our advertiser members are expected to honor all offers posted on this site. We will take appropriate action to ensure they honor their commitments to the Family-Friendly Community. Those who abuse the system will be banned immediately.

Yes there is. If you want to have a list to have on hand when you are not on a computer, simply subscribe to FamilyVenue Buzz and we will occassionally email you a PDF copy of the list.

You ARE allowed to transfer membership. However, if you have registered your VIP card, the registered information must be updated to reflect the new member's information. We will not log in to alter or delete registered information unless you send us a request from your registered email address. If you have forgotten your password, simply click on the 'Password Reminder' link located on the login page.

Note: A card may only be registered once, so if the new member created a new registration and tries to input the VIP Card Number, they will not be able to do so. The previous registered member  will need to remove the VIP Card Number from their account first.  

If you are a family-friendly business/organization already listed and you would like to either claim or upgrade your listing, please go to your business listing and click on the "Claim/Upgrade Listing" link, you will then need to either create an account or login first.

If you're not listed yet, choose one of our plans located on our Compare Membership page to sign up or if you would like us to manage your listing(s) for you, contact us and we will get you up and running as soon as possible. If you are a gov or non-profit org contact us to add your free listing with $0 setup fee.

Remember: Through your member panel, you can submit your news, specials, and events to us so that we can post them at FamilyVenue Buzz!, our online magazine.

Each card is marked with a barcode and unique number so that you can keep track of how many and how often we refer customers to you. You may even add more value for your customers by developing an in-house loyalty program through using the FV VIP Card!

When you honor the FV VIP Card your business will be marked on our main map located on our homepage and your listing will carry the VIP Card logo so that you will stand out as a participating member. We will also send you a VIP Card as well as a "We honor the FamilyVenue VIP Member Card" sign to display at your place of business. As a participating member you will be supporting the family-friendly community.

Tip: When you sign up we recommend you use your service or product offering as a promotional tool. Tell everyone you know that your business/org is family-friendly and that you are a verified member in good standing at FamilyVenue!
